Beaches
Explore the coast around Knysna. There's plenty to do: walk, swim, fish, surf, boardsail, play beach games or simply laze in the sun. The warm currents of the Indian Ocean make for pleasant swimming in the summer, but be careful as tides can be strong.

Leisure Island Beach: Follow signs to Leisure Isle at the eastern end of Knysna, off George Rex Drive. Bollard Bay is the ideal family beach, with safe swimming in shallow waters. It is excellent for beginner boardsailors.
